Phew! Spring is Here
You have no idea how close a watch
I keep on this ornamental vine,
searching for the slightest hint of bud burst to tell me that winter has allmost
passed
Mum's dwarf irises and tulips are a constant reminder of how much I miss her
Bright colours to lift a gloomy day
The colour of the mauve native orchid
blends beautifully with the azalea growing in the pot behind.
This azalea was grown from a cutting of a plant given to my father over fifty
years ago,
and its flowers are highly perfumed - especially at night time.
Another transplanted bulb from Mum's
garden.
I never lift the bulbs as I know I should, but they flower year after year
for me anyway.
